OnePlus 6T purported leaked live images reveal waterdrop notch, an in-display fingerprint sensor. An official teaser video for the OnePlus 6T, intended to draw attention to the in-display fingerprint sensor, suggests we could also see a triple rear camera. We discuss what new features we are likely to see in the OnePlus 6T, when it will launch and how much it will cost.OnePlus may have turned heads with the surprise revelation that it’s currently working on a smart TV, but that hasn’t distracted us from its more immediate smartphone plans. OnePlus is preparing to launch the OnePlus 6T, a souped-up version of the fan favourite OnePlus 6. But the most noticeable feature confirmed by the leak is that of the in-display fingerprint sensor. The internal illustration of the box shows not only the full-screen display with minimal bezels, but it also shows a fingerprint icon in the lower third of the screen.OnePlus will also remove the 3.5mm earphone jack on the OnePlus 6T. The company’s co-founder Carl Pei confirmed this fact in an interview. Pei believes that the change will allow OnePlus to focus more on other features such as battery capacity. Whether the OnePlus 6T will feature a larger battery over its predecessor is still unknown. The removal of the 3.5mm earphone jack will definitely help the company in waterproofing the smartphone. The 2018 OnePlus flagship phone comes with a 6.28-inch AMOLED display full HD resolution with 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (Octa-core, 10nm, up to 2.8 GHz processor along with 6GB/8GB RAM. In terms of storage, OnePlus 6 comes in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB variants. Powered by a 3,300mAh battery, OnePlus 6 comes with USB 2.0, Type-C, support USB audio, dual nano-sim slot, and 3.5 mm audio jack and rear-facing fingerprint sensor.OnePlus 6 users, however, will have one advantage that OnePlus 6T will not have. The older model has 3.5mm headphone jack. The upcoming OnePlus 6T is going to skip this critical feature. Summing up, OnePlus 6 users won’t be missing much except for new screen design and minor specifications upgrade.OnePlus had to re-arrange the “internal hardware” to embed the in-display fingerprint sensor. The new OnePlus device could come with the tagline ‘unlock the speed.’ Reports indicate that the OnePlus 6T base model could come for a price of $550 (approximately Rs 39,000).
